This kimono jacket made from sturdy cotton fabric dyed in a deep navy-blue, it balances functionality with bold design. The front lapels feature striking white kanji lettering that reads “Yamaroku Shoyu”, identifying a long-standing soy sauce brewery from Shodoshima, Japan. Additional inscriptions highlight locality and heritage, connecting the garment directly to its trade roots.
On the back, a large white crest-like kanji sits prominently across the shoulders. This acted both as a house emblem and as practical branding, allowing the wearer’s affiliation to be instantly recognized in markets, festivals, and community gatherings.
